The Arts of Logistics conference brings together scholars, activists, and artists from across the humanities and social sciences to interrogate how social movements and the arts respond to a world remade by logistics.
Boggsville Boatel (2011) was a floating hotel and performance space originally part of the Sea Worthy Exhibition curated by Flux Factory in Jamaica Bay Queens. The installation hosted more than 5000 people over three months and utilized 6 boats and a floating platform stage. The Boatel held nightly lectures, movie screenings, and storytelling by nautical enthusiasts, as well as a meeting with the city planners.
